Script for show promo

This SNC live weekday mornings from 7-10 on 84.8fm for the early show with Perry, that plays all the tunes of old and new, from rock to pop.

8 shot journey

First we started to go over what cinematography is and what it is used for some examples are frames, shots and scenes. We also learn about the 180 degree line rule. So before we could start filming we had to make a storyboard of the eight shots so we knew what to do when filming. Then when we got the cameras we had to stripe/black the whole tape to make getting the timecodes easier. When it was complete had to start it about 20-30 seconds into the tape. When I was taking the shot I left about 5-10 seconds before starting the shot and after finishing the shot. After I had finished the shooting of the shots I then had to rewind what I had play it and for every shot and take I had to get a timecode for all of them. I had to fill that all in on my log sheet. Then I edited on the computer which was easy to do and us. Overall I think that my eight shot journey went alright I had to redo my storyboard changed the journey a bit and I also could of found a better location to do it in instead of in the college.

Evaluation of jingles

I had to make radio jingles for a radio promo, a radio ident and a news one. Things to put in a jingle were that it could have music voices and also some sound effects are some of things that you could put in a jingle. We had to make it for a particular radio station which was SNC live. For the promo I was going to make it based on a breakfast show which could not be any longer than one minute. So for the promo I put the background song as good times and edited that down to make it fit into the sound effects and my voice. I then put in my sound effects which were bells and rings and I put them at the start of the promo. And put bell effects at the end to. I put my voice a couple of seconds after the bells had at the start and played a bell after my speech had finished. I recorded my voice straight into the Mac which was easy to use by just pressing the record button and speak into the microphone on the Mac. The microphone was at the top of the Mac. When I did the recording I did get some noise from the background of people talking in the background when recording. But it happened in the radio ident which wasn’t my best one so it didn’t mess it up to much. I used Sound booth which was the program that I used. When I saved my work I had to save it as a mp3 file. I was able to put it all together easily which helped. The promo was the better one of the three that I did.

The second jingle that I did was the radio ident which I just said SNC line which I put an effect to the voice. It was about five seconds long. I put some bomb sound effects in the background of me saying SNC live. I would have wanted to put a song in the background but didn’t have any songs with me to use. But if I did have some songs with me I would of out one in. I was sort of happy with my radio jingle but maybe could have been a bit longer.

My third jingle was the radio news jingle which I put sound in the background but didn’t have any songs so just had to put some sound effects on. All I said was that the news is on weekdays at 6pm on SNC live. I wasn’t really happy with my radio jingle because it wasn’t longer enough. It was the one that was worse one of ones that I did.

Overall I was happy with the show promo but not to happy my other two which were the news and the ident. If I was the do it again I would put some more songs on to make it more inserting.

Thursday 1 October 2009

I feel that the picture that worked really well which I was pleased about. All my other pictures were either over exposed or under exposed. Apart from the picture that worked the pinhole camera was really bad which I was abit disapointed about.
First before making the pinhole camera we learned what photography was, what is in a camera and how the camera works. It works by recording images either as a still photograph or as moving images known as videos or movies. We also learned about what photography genes there are and what they are used for some examples of genes are black and white, high speed, portrait and commercial. Also we were told what a shutter, lens, and aperture what they are used for. Found out what the exposure control is and how to work out how long you should exposure the pinhole. My exposure time was one minute outside and twenty minutes inside.

To make the pinhole camera I had to get a box and paint the inside of box black so there was no unwanted light in the box bouncing around. I paint mine with a couple of coats to make sure. I then had to make a square hole in the side of the box. To put my pinhole in the foil which I put over the square. I made the pinhole by putting a pin through the foil. Then I had to make the shutter I got a square piece of cardboard bigger enough to cover the pinhole then just got a piece tape to be made as a flap to cover. Covered all the sides with tape to make sure the box was light tight.

When I did it I had to expose the pinhole for one minute outside and twenty minutes for being inside. After I had waited I went into the darkroom then I put the photographic paper in the chemicals then some water to fix the photo. Then had to dry the picture and see what it was like.

This is what it looked like after I changed it to a postive.

This is what it looked orginally when it was taken.
